Community Partnerships

 

High School Internship Program

 

Under the leadership and enthusiasm of Rachel Schoneman, Ben Pejsar and Andy Nickel of GeneSeek, a High School internship program was created in 2006 to enable high caliber students to work at GeneSeek and be eligible for a Science Scholarship for higher education. A pilot program was started in partnership with the Lincoln Public Schools, with the Lincoln North Star High School being the first to participate. Four students have already successfully completed this program. If students decide to attend the University of Nebraska, they are eligible for a $1000 scholarship.

 

Charitable Giving

 

GeneSeek shares with our community. In addition to the many volunteer activities of GeneSeek employees, we contribute to local organizations such as the Matt Talbot Kitchen and The Peoples City Mission.
