High School Internship Program

Under the leadership and enthusiasm of GeneSeek employees, a High School internship program was created in 2006 to enable high caliber students to work at GeneSeek and be eligible for a Science Scholarship for higher education. A pilot program was started in partnership with the Lincoln Public Schools, with the Lincoln North Star High School being the first to participate. Since then, several students have successfully completed this program. If students decide to attend the University of Nebraska, they are eligible for a $1000 scholarship. This program has recently expanded to include other schools in Lincoln, Nebraska. For more information about this program, please contact Andy Nickel or Ben Pejsar.

Charitable Giving

GeneSeek shares with our local and global community. In addition to the many volunteer activities of GeneSeek employees, we contribute to local organizations such as the Matt Talbot Kitchen and The Peoples City Mission. Additionally GeneSeek supports the Spring Point Project, a research effort in diabetes cure and the Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods (http://www.srl.ag.iastate.edu/) with its efforts in Uganda.
