Samples can be hair, blood, blood on cards, muscle tissue, ear notches (including TypiFix sample collection devices), semen etc. Any DNA test can be combined with BVD if blood cards or TypiFix devices are submitted.

 

Seek-Sire - Parentage verification for breed associations or multi-sire pastures- done using SNP or microsatellite markers.

 

Seek-Trace - identity and traceability profile - trace-back from farm to fork.

 

Seek-Black - coat color test for red or black coat color

 

Seek-Tender -test for meat tenderness

 

Tender-Black - tenderness and coat color combined
